The New Navigation Inn 30th of September 2008
After an article in a local paper the owners contacted the paper to see if we would investigate the activity that had been experienced by staff and customers. After interviews the team agreed to investigate.
Witness Reports
Witnesses have reported seeing figures walk into the toilets and then disappear and also two girls have been seen on separate occasions. There have been reports of a glass being pushed of a shelf and landing over a meter away from the shelf,
not only this but coughs have been heard when there has been no one else around.
The Investigation Report
The team arrived at the location at just after 10:50 am, where we were greeted by the staff and owner of The New Navigation Inn. As soon as we entered our sensitive mentioned that there were two girls there that had been seen, we allowed our sensitive to have a walk around whilst we conducted the baseline tests. We quickly became aware that there were high levels of emf throughout the pub area of the building which we quickly identified as being located to electricity cables running along the ceiling
of the cellar which was located below us.
Even though the building felt cold the average temperature was reading at 18C throughout the building; however it was pretty cold outside anyway and with many windows around the building this would be expected as a natural temperature. The humidity was measured at an average 56 % which was the main basis of our investigation as we were testing the water tape theory, and were looking for specific increases is humidity.
After we conducted the baseline tests our investigation had taken an interesting twist as our sensitive’s had picked up on the energy of a Jack Saunders, who was described as from the late 50's and wearing a cloth cap and waist coat, he was of working class and grumpy. Our sensitive described him as having a dislike to women and he swore a lot, and also had what sounded like a Cradley Heath accent. Our sensitive then went upstairs where a distinctive cold spot was felt, however the EMF was fluctuating from a normal emf to a high EMF, but the temperature didn't change neither did the humidity.
At this point we decided to have a short break and then go down to the cellar and investigate there, during this break the motion sensors were set up in the corridor upstairs where footsteps had been heard. When reconvened in the cellar where our sensitive originally felt nothing at all, until our other sensitive began to feel uneasy and sick, and described the feeling of falling down a hole and then she revealed that a girl had done this. She immediately left the cellar. After I had rejoined the group I was informed that the motion sensors were going off (this was a locked off area) myself and another investigator went to check this out and was greeted by possibly some compelling evidence. The sensors were going off so we tested the EMF and this was fluctuating at 4 - 6 milligause and interestingly the temperature dropped and the humidity increased. We set the motion sensors again
but this time to a different alarm.
We rejoined the group and were having a brief chat about the possible explanations of the motion sensors going off when they were set off again, this time everyone was accounted for, again we set off to investigate and was again met with the same EMF fluctuation of 4 - 6 milligause and a temperature drop and yet again a humidity increase. It was decided that the motion sensors should be moved to a different location of the corridor to see if the same response could be got. We rejoined the group and were discussing the investigation for around 10 minutes when the motion sensors went off again but with a different alarm to the one that was set, this time all the group were brought up to the corridor upstairs where again the same EMF measurement was recorded and the temperature drop and humidity increase was recorded. After confirmation from our sensitive that there was indeed energy present we decided to conclude the investigation with a glass divination sitting where we didn't really get any
strong evidence of energy present, maybe they had given all they could for us.
All in all the investigation was fantastic and we have gained a lot of evidence to look into which will be put in the official report that the location will receive; we have recorded some interesting EVP as well. The team were pleased to be invited to the location.
